I define a Tarot Intuitive as someone who reads tarot cards using their intuition beyond an understanding of the meaning of the cards and symbols. This intuition is derived from the Other Side (God, Goddess, Angels, Spirit Guides, and loved ones in Spirit) and therefore carries greater awareness and knowledge than a mere flip of the card can provide. My psychic abilities are clairvoyance, clairaudience, clairsentience, claircognizance and clairempathy. My strongest abilities are clairvoyance and clairempathy – it is these that I use most often in my Spiritual Tarot Consultations.
“Clairvoyance means ‘clear seeing’. It is the ability to visually see through Psychic senses. Someone with this gift sees images, shapes, colors, still pictures, moving pictures, etc that are not seen by others nor seen by ordinary eyesight. These images may be seen with the eyes open or closed. This intuitive ability comes straight from the sixth chakra. Clairvoyants may also perceive types of energy not perceptible by others or by normal means. It has terms associated with it such as ‘the third eye’ ‘sixth sense’ and ‘inner eye’. Clairvoyance is one of the most accurate intuitive abilities.”1
When reading a tarot card, intuitively my eyes focus on one or more images on the card and quite often other images, still and moving, will appear to me. For example, a card that depicted a character having a lack of balance led me to see boxes stacked one on top of the other on top of the other piled up high. When I told my client the psychic image that appeared to me, the person said it described exactly how they felt, overwhelmed. The psychic images provide greater clarity than the mere images on the cards.
“Clairaudience means ‘clear hearing’. It is the ability to hear through Psychic senses. in other words, to hear in a paranormal way. Someone with this gift hears sounds, words, voices, and/or ideas through the hearing centre of the brain. There are two forms of clairaudience. The first form is hearing thoughts within ourselves, which sounds the same as when we talk to ourselves. They use their ‘inner ear’ to hear, just as someone with clairvoyance would use their ‘inner eye’ to see. The second form is hearing the voices spoken out loud. It is the actual perception of sounds, voices, etc that are not heard by others and not done by ordinary hearing. This type is more accurate, as it does not require interpretation.”1
My clairaudience comes in both forms.
“Clairsentience means “clear feeling” and relates to the sense of touch. It is the ability to perceive energy fields through physical sensations using Psychic senses. This includes auras, vibrations, and the presence of entities. When you get a “gut feeling” about something, you are using your clairsentience. What you’re doing is using your second chakra, the spleen center, to sense things on an emotional level. Clairsentience can pick up what other people are feeling. Clairsentience often works with another ability called precognition or claircognizant. Claircognizant is the ability to know what is going to happen in advance. Clairsentience is the most commonly used intuitive abilities, although it is not one of the most accurate.” 1
I would agree that clairsentience by itself (if this is the only ability one has) provides an extra “sense” but can be rather murky and far too open to interpretation. My clairsentience works with claircognizant. There are times when I simply “know” something to be true and feel it with absolute certainty. My clairsentience/claircognizant has been 100% accurate.
“Clairempathy is the ability to feel others emotions (actually emotional and physical) as though they were your own.”2 “The capacity to (a) be affected by and share the emotional state of another, (b) assess the reasons for the other’s state, and (c) identify with the other, adopting his or her perspective.”3
Long before I knew there was a word to describe my ability, I could readily feel (emotionally and physically) other’s emotions, understand the reason and source of their emotions, and immediately put “myself in their shoes”. Throughout my childhood and young adulthood, this ability was more of a curse than a blessing because people found it unnerving and disconcerting when I, a mere youth, could see through their lies, bravado or “happy face”. In time, this ability became a blessing to those who were tired of wearing the mask, who felt pain or followed a negative behavior pattern but couldn’t fully understand the source of it, who desperately wanted to unburden themselves to someone who could truly understand how they felt. For years, I’ve been told by many I should be a psychotherapist but shrank away from that career field because I felt others’ emotions far too deeply, often to the point of becoming physically sick myself. It’s only after learning what an Empath is, learning Energy Healing and how to emotionally distance myself that I was able to embrace my gift.
Having these gifts is a blessing but also a challenge because there are those who seek not the truth, who shy away from confronting their reality, and even worse those whose ignorance and fear blocks them from accepting what I have to offer.
For the skeptics, your doubt is the very thing that blocks you from perceiving the truth. If you were to open yourself to the possibility, it could be revealed to you. You don’t have to believe in a religion or even God to believe in psychic abilities but believe that science is far greater than we humans can currently comprehend.
For those who fear it for religious sake, most of the major world religions recognize the gifts of prophecy and healing. For example in the Bible, 1 Corinthians 12 verses 7-11:
“To each individual the manifestation of the Spirit is given for some benefit. To one is given through the Spirit the expression of wisdom…to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit…to another prophecy…But one and the same Spirit produces all of these, distributing them individually to each person as he wishes.”
1 Corinthians 14 verses 1:
“Pursue love, but strive eagerly for the spiritual gifts, above all that you may prophesy…one who prophesies does speak to human beings, for their building up, encouragement, and solace.”
My gifts are the expression of wisdom, prophecy and healing for the benefit of those who need it and are open to receive it.
