Start New Year With Good Cheer
By Jennifer Garcia, Founder of Spiritual Spectra
Whether you hang tinsel or spin a dreidel,
Nosh on coins or lick dough from a ladle,
Light a candle, Yule log or set off fireworks,
Sing Auld Lang Syne or enjoy your day off perks,
Cuddle with loved ones around a home hearth fire,
Or sip sparkling wine and dance until you tire,
Wear a dazzling dress or zip a Winter coat,
We all want to end the year on a high note.
Some may choose to celebrate, laugh, bear a smile,
Though they may be missing loved ones all the while,
Yet others may be coping with stress and strain,
Another may be ill, injured or in pain,
So lend a hand, give a warm hug, wish friends well,
How far your kindness goes you never can tell,
Your generosity might start their new year,
With warmth, love, a sense of hope, and some good cheer.
